Sound effects created for Overwatch 2‘s Sojourn hero. All sound effects were recorded, edited, and mixed personally. Props such as beer cans, vegetables, and household objects were manipulated and processed to create the sound effects, using tools such as Reaper, Weaponiser, and various DAW plug-ins.
Using the Reaper DAW, I designed sound effects to replace Sojourn's attacks in Overwatch 2. First, I performed a brief spotting session to determine which animations would need sound effects. After doing so, I came up with an overall audio concept - synthetic machinery - to keep a uniform character to each sound. Using items such as beer cans, household objects, vegetables, and library sound effects, I created new sounds for her various attacks.
